Moline's Riverside Riverslide pool to open Memorial Day weekend (2024)

People can make a splash at Riverside Riverslide in Moline starting Memorial Day weekend.

Moline Parks and Recreation Department announced the renovated pool is set to officially open at noon on Saturday, May 25.

Riverside pool received$6.8 million in upgrades,which includes three new water slides, a lazy river, splash pad, new shade structures, updated concessions, nighttime lights, a shared park shelter and family restrooms. The slides are a tube slide, body slide and speed slide. Lights also were installed, allowing the pool to stay open later compared to previous seasons, a press release from the city said.

The pool has been closed since September 2022. Construction took place all of summer 2023.

The pool will be open at noon and close at 8 p.m. on opening day. On Sunday and Monday of Memorial Day weekend, the pool will be open from noon to 6 p.m.

Hours in the days after Memorial Day are:

Beginning June 10 through Aug. 15, on Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays the pool hours will be noon-6 p.m. and on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays the pool hours are noon-8 p.m.

Beginning Aug. 16 through Sept. 1, the pool hours on Sundays will be noon-6 p.m.; closed Mondays-Wednesdays; Thursdays and Friday 4-8 p.m.; and Saturdays noon-8 p.m.

The last day the pool is open for the season is Monday, Sept. 2 from noon-6 p.m.

General admission is $7 per person; children 3 and under is $3 per person; lap swim and water walking are $3 per person. For group rates, people can call Amanda Bolt at 309-524-2427 or emailing her at abolt@moline.il.us.

The parks department also teamed up with Two Rivers YMCA to create a partnership that will allow Two Rivers YMCA members to visit the pool as part of their membership at no additional cost. Swim lessons offered through the YMCA also will take place at the pool on Monday and Wednesday evenings and Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
