Now if you are new to Blackstone or eyeing getting one, let me just say get one. I have the 17-inch Blackstone which I now use on job sites and when we camp. My back deck has 36-inch Blackstone which has made many meals. Breakfast foods and Hibachi Fried Rice are cooked several times a month outside. The food just tastes better when cooked on the Blackstone and the cleanup is a breeze!

Why You’ll Love This Recipe

  • Is one of those low carb recipes your family will love!
  • Easy egg roll ingredients to make the dish.
  • Great dish full of protein
  • The Coleslaw mix makes for little prep time for the veggies.

Eggroll In A Bowl Ingredients:

Ground Pork Sausage– I use plain pork sausage, but we have used maple before and the kids loved it. Hot sausage is good too if your family likes that flavoring.

Ready-Mix Dry Coleslaw– You could shred a head of cabbage with some carrots and purple cabbage but I like the no work. You can set aside the dressing packet or toss it. I have also grabbed bags of plain shredded cabbage before.

Onion– This will be diced onion, if you have picky eaters you can leave the pieces larger.

Minced garlic

Sesame Oil

Rice Vinegar

Soy Sauce

Salt

Pepper

Gather up all your ingredients. Now I thought the old lady was crazy with her shot glass measuring glasses but they came in handy! I wanted an amount to start with so I took one per liquid and it worked perfectly for the liquids!

Once you are ready warm up your Blackstone Griddle on a medium high heat. A medium heat will also work if your unsure how hot your griddle cooks.

Start to cook your ground pork and salt and pepper your pork to taste.

Add your onion and your minced garlic to the cabbage side.

Use one of the long (or two) to mix the cabbage up and keep chopping’/cooking the pork on the other side of the grill.

Once your cabbage starts to wilt and soften add to the top of it Sesame Oil, Rice Vinegar, and a splash of Soy Sauce.

For more flavor, you can add a splash of soy sauce to the pork as well.

Use your long spatula to continue to mix up the cabbage mixture to distribute the liquids.

Once your cabbage is cooked more start to mix the pork with the cabbage. This is a lot of fun using both long Spatulas and cooks like a stir fry.

Remove from the griddle and serve!!

After taking the food in I always quickly go back out with a cup of water. Next, I use the scraper to scrape food particles off the griddle. I pour the water on, it will steam a bit, scrape more, and then wipe down dry.

Once I am done eating I go back out and reoil the griddle so it is ready to go next time. Also, be sure to take the time to remove the dirty drain container as well and give the whole thing a quick wipe down.

If you store yours outside also be sure to cover the griddle once it has cooled down all the way.
